Fairview & District Victim Services
Our Victim Services Unit is a volunteer-based program mandated by Alberta Justice & Solicitor General in conjunction with the RCMP "K" Division. Our advocates work with the police to assist victims, survivors, family members and witnesses of crime and trauma in many areas, including:
- Assault
- Break and Enter
- Elder Abuse
- Homicide
- Missing Persons
- Robbery
- Sexual Assault
- Stalking and Criminal Harassment
- Sudden Death
- Suicide
- Other Criminal and Traumatic Situations

Our Victim Service Unit offers free, helpful, confidential, supportive and practical assistance.
If you are a victim of a crime or trauma you may experience a wide range of physical and emotional reactions as a result of the incident. Through education, information and practical support, Victim Services is here to guide you.
Fairview & District Victim Services , through the work of their good-hearted volunteers and diligent staff provide support, assistance and crisis intervention to those unfortunate enough to be affected by tragedy, crime, violence and natural disasters.
Our team of specially-trained volunteer advocates are dispatched by the RCMP with the goal of alleviating trauma and reducing the emotional impact of a crisis situation. We are here to help with locally-provided resource information, crisis companionship and appropriate agency referrals to help you deal with your traumatic experience.
Our MandateFairview Victim Services Unit, in cooperation with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, voluntarily provides support, information, referrals and ongoing supportive assistance to victims of crime, trauma, and natural disasters. |
